本研究成果は、2026年4月24日に国際学術誌「Results in Chemistry」に掲載されました。

[Announcement] Joint Research with Kumamoto University Demonstrates Ammonium Alginate Suppresses Renal Inflammation and Fibrosis Caused by Excessive Salt Intake—Findings Published in International Scientific Journal “Results in Chemistry”
Toy Medical Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minami-ku, Kumamoto City, Kumamoto Prefecture; President & CEO: Hidenori Takeshita), in a joint research project with Kumamoto University, has demonstrated that ammonium alginate—a type of seaweed-derived dietary fiber—effectively suppresses renal inflammation and fibrosis exacerbated by excessive salt intake. This breakthrough was confirmed using a unilateral ureteral obstruction mouse model, which is a recognized model for chronic kidney disease (CKD).
The research findings were successfully published in the international scientific journal “Results in Chemistry” on April 24, 2026.
